Role Overview
As a Visual Designer - Intern, you will support Bough’s Business Development and growth initiatives through high quality visual communication and content. This role sits at the intersection of design, storytelling, and consulting - helping translate complex business ideas into clear, compelling visuals that strengthen proposals, presentations, and client-facing materials.
This is a hands-on internship for someone eager to learn how a consulting firm positions itself, communicates value, and wins work - while sharpening their design craft in a high expectation, real world environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support the creation of client‑facing materials including proposals, pitch decks, presentations, reports, and digital assets
- Ensure all visual outputs align with Bough’s brand identity, tone, and quality standards
- Collaborate with Business Development and consulting teams to understand requirements and translate ideas into structured visual narratives
- Simplify complex business concepts into visually engaging and easy‑to‑digest formats
- Support end‑to‑end content creation - from concept development through final execution
- Conduct basic research on industry trends, competitors, and design best practices to inform storytelling
- Incorporate feedback constructively and iterate efficiently to improve clarity and quality
- Manage multiple design tasks while adhering to timelines and quality expectations
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing studies in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
- Internship, academic, or project‑based experience in design, branding, or content creation preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating visual design capability (presentations, layouts, digital assets, branding, or storytelling work)
- Working knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Suite, Figma, Framer, or similar platforms
- Interest in consulting, professional services, or B2B environments is a strong advantage
- Ability to understand business context and reflect it thoughtfully in design choices
